Living North Christmas Fair 2008

Deer.tops.2008 019

Although I vowed to never ever suffer the madness of a Christmas fair again, I have signed myself up to take part in the Living North Christmas Fair.  In the past, I have participated in all manner of shopping events...everything from Greenwich Market to a Christmas fair in a barn (didn't know it was going to be in a barn when I signed up!) to a craft fair in a library.  Usually, I find that the amount of effort it takes to rock up to one of these places and sit there for hours, morosely eyeing the public as they ignore me and walk on by, is just a terrible way to spend the day.  And every year I tell myself that the next year I shall be kind to myself and will not suffer such indignities.

However....I have gone and done it again.  I have signed away my soul to participate in yet another Christmas fair.  I do believe that this one is a shopping event with a difference.  Gee How Quaint has never been to an event this big.  I have been spending many coffee hours designing the stall and if I magically turn into reality what is lurking in my head, I think it will look rather stunning.

Anyway, I have less than 3 weeks to pull up my knitted socks and get through the list that is as long as my arm.  There are bags to make, krisis kits to order and shelves to paint.
