The Newcastle Craft Mafia had its first craft market at The Cluny. It was a super steller event and I am so pleased with the rockin' venue.
The winner of the artwork auction was to a a vivacious young lass named Rachel, who put in a bid for £30. Thank you so much for everyone who participated.
The Newcastle Craft Mafia has been in the news quite a lot lately. We have been featured in The Journal, The Crack and even of the NARC. Those of you not from Newcastle, this is quite a big deal.
I am so very happy about all of this. It makes me well up with happiness inside as I feel that, without my hard work, OUR hard work, none of this would have happened. Those weeks spent setting up with website, meeting with Leeanne to hash out the final details of our local craft mafia, and drawing in amazing, virbrant, fantastic new members... There is quite a lot in life that I am not proud of. But this, well, I am patting myself on the back rather vigorously. It's funny to think that all of this began with Leeanne saying 'Too bad Newcastle doesn't have a Craft Mafia.' My little wheels started turning and zoom-zoom, I was off like a shot.
