December 11, 2010

Well done - I just looked at the prompt and thought 11 things...that is going to take far too long to work out. I'll just get rid of one thing and move on to tomorrow's prompt. Well, that was my deal for doing reverb anyway - only answer if i feel like it !

I have started to do your 5.though and give away books I know I won't reread - with the exception of a few that are real favourites. I know, that is only doing half measures !

I may have misread 9 and thought you were going to get rid of the person, which seemed extreme...

I am sad that you're letting go of your Gee How Quaint stuff :( I love my knickerbags!

I don't believe it! I posted and then clicked the wrong bit and away it was!
ok - some of them are a bit silly but some not: 1)Rid of having to write everyone a Christmas card 2)Stop reading every tweet 3)Stop reading every facebook post 4)Rid of dead plants by doorway 5)Rid of people who distort history even about the weather just so they can have something to moan about 6)Rid of fear of failure 7)Rid of gloegg - drink it 8)Rid of chocolates - eat them 9)Cut down on items that need ironing 10)Rid of "thinking about booking a week away" and just book it 11)Rid of a few kilos - after winter! LOL
How will that do?

Other peoples expectations of me, random boxes of crap, socks with holes, throwing out clothes I have not worn in 3 years and books I'm never going to read again...all relevant to my life too but 11 is the best idea ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is a most excellent blog indeed

I agree with getting rid of books I won't read again. I did see a very serene Buddhist at Fenwicks the other day. He was in the middle of all the Christmas madness and I did think that perhaps being a bit less materialistic is the way to go. With that said, it was a bit odd seeing him holding a small bag of Christmas cards.

I'm joining in here because I want to see a bedside table covered in tat ;)

I have many of those boxes that have followed me around since I left home in 1989. And I can't believe I still have them. Really need to get rid.

Just adding a comment to help the tat-pasting along!

Flagephant! Flagephant! Flagephant!
