It would really happen like this today, wouldn't it? Tomorrow I am setting up my stand at the West End Fair, and just when I really need so many things in working order, nothing is in working order. My computer isn't hooking up to any network (thank goodness for back-up household computer). Unfortunately, back-up household computer isn't connecting to my printer and neither is my home/business computer. So. We've got all the kit, but none of the kit is in working order. Because I really want to have to hand-write all of my signage. I mean, that's not unprofessional, is it?!
This lack of computer and printer combo is also going to cause me to have to go to my Scary Local Post Office to post orders instead of doing that handy thing where you buy your postage online then just shove the goods down the gullet of a nearby post box. And yes, that last sentence was three lines long.
On a positive note, I did latch onto a moving trolley, to transport my artwork from car to tent. I never felt so happy in all my life to see a moving trolley. I very nearly kissed the nice man at Homebase for finding one for me.
This Thursday through Sunday, I will be at the West End Fair in Princess Street Gardens, peddling my artwork. Don't forget, there will be 20 artworks for £20 each (obviously. I mean, I do have some self respect...£1 each would be verging on self-hatred). I have two large LED artworks, plus a few Edinburgh Skylines and a couple rows of tenements. I think it is a good mix. My stand is located in the rectangular tent, which is just across from the arches.
West End Art Fair 11am - 6pm.
Good luck :) Vic x
