So, here are my mates, Tim, Ed and Clem. Actually, I have no idea who these men are...this is just a photo I lifted off of somebody else's blog when I typed 'coffee shop' into Google Images. I believe this photo was taken by some bloke named Sean Claes. So, there you go, I have given someone credit for this.
As I read The Times yesterday, I scanned through this article about people who do business not in a business building or at home, but from the coffee tables across the UK, the states and I am sure in other countries as well. Wherever WiFi is available. This is the New Bedouin. Oooh, wouldn't it be nice to set yourself up at a table in a coffee shop in Italy. I imagine cup after cup of gut rotting brown flavoured water, popping a snack of biscotti into your mouth and nearly breaking your teeth because you forgot to dunk it into liquid to soften it. Ah yes, but anyway...
I am happy to have this as a title for myself, or rather, a title that I have fallen under. If I'm going to fall anywhere, then I think this is the place. I have conducted meetings at Starbucks, especially if I am meeting somebody for the first time. It's friendly. And I can have my favourite tipple of Caramel Macchiato. Sometimes I even take my notebooks in and write down all sorts of silly notes. Notes for press releases or business expansion or whatever. Now, if only I had a laptop, then I could tap into that WiFi frequency and become uber cool instead of just hanging out here at 'Somewhat Cool.'
That's me done.
