Oh, you know what it's like. This feeling like your moving through mud, walking heavy, like even taking steps forward is just way too much of a drag.
I have spent that past two days clearing out the art room and trying to prepare myself and room for the upcoming school year. My work has been automatic, without much thought. Clearing away mountains of art detritus that I swear has been there since before I was a gleam in my father's eye. As I reached into boxes of old musty fabric scraps, praying I wouldn't touch something dead at the bottom like a mouse, I couldn't help but try to wish myself back onto the beach of Koh Samui.
I just really must stress that if you are planning a trip to this beauty spot you really MUST aim to stay at The Tongsai Bay. We found them through Trailfinders and Tongsai Bay is one of the resorts that comes highly recommended. The previous photo was actually taken on our balcony. Oh yes, it was uber fab.
And this...is the doorway to our room. I had read that Thailand is home to a variety of poisonous snakes which includes one that likes to hang out in trees. I was incredibly paranoid that the arboreal menace would drop on me from one of the tree's branches. So of course, I did the very brave thing and always made my husband go ahead of me whenever we went anywhere. If the snake should land on him, it would at least give me a chance to run.
